Rodrigo Ribeiro is a strategy executive with 25 years of experience at the intersection of competitive intelligence, private banking, and management consulting. As Senior Vice President of Strategy & Business Intelligence at Itaú Private Bank in Miami — one of Latin America's largest private banks — he spent over a decade converting complex, ambiguous market signals into the clear decision frameworks that executive committees actually act on.
His work spanned the full architecture of strategic intelligence: building proprietary business intelligence ecosystems, designing AI-enabled decision tools, advising the C-suite on competitive positioning, and orchestrating major platform transformation programs. He was an early internal champion of AI in strategy functions — not as a productivity shortcut, but as a tool for compressing the distance between raw information and executive-grade judgment.
Before Itaú, Rodrigo spent eight years across two stints at Kearney Management Consultants in Chicago and São Paulo, working across financial services, insurance, and cross-border strategy. Earlier still, he designed growth strategies and cross-border investment structures at Barclays Wealth and Lehman Brothers in Miami, and built wealth management units from the ground up at ABN AMRO Private Bank across Brazil, Chile, and Uruguay.
Veredas is where that work continues — in public, with rigour. The name comes from João Guimarães Rosa's Grande Sertão: Veredas — a vast and uncharted landscape that can only be navigated by following the veredas, the watercourses and pathways that cut through the sertão. An apt metaphor for global private wealth: enormous, opaque, and best understood through careful attention to the paths that run through it.
Led corporate strategy, competitive intelligence, and AI-enabled decision support across the international wealth management platform. Built proprietary BI ecosystems, advised the executive committee, and orchestrated the International workstream of the 'Private of the Future' platform transformation program.
Directed consulting engagements across financial services, identifying 5–6% cost savings through outsourcing in U.S. commercial banking. Built Supplier Risk Management frameworks and optimised supply chains for Latin American clients.
Designed and executed growth strategies for Latin American wealth management. Prepared cross-border investment strategies for high-net-worth clients across multiple jurisdictions.
Built and launched wealth management units across Brazil, Chile, and Uruguay, securing 5% market share and training 50+ advisors. Led post-merger integration aligning client offerings and service practices.
Enabled 20% market capture for a securities services unit; guided post-merger integration across seven countries. Developed strategy for a large insurance group; evaluated credit risk functions for Basel compliance.
